1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and other methods that store or access information on a device. Whether permission is needed depends on their actual purpose and the rules that apply, not simply on the name of the technology.
2. Public pages and optional analytics
Browsing our public products, solutions and articles does not require analytics. Optional Google Analytics 4 is disabled unless a valid measurement ID has been configured and you give permission using our Cookie settings. Before consent, and after rejection, the Google tag is not loaded. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. The live status is shown in Cookie settings.
3. Administrative and security cookies
WordPress can use authentication and session cookies when an authorised administrator signs in, and a login cookie may persist longer if that user selects a remember-me option. These are separate from normal public browsing. Hosting or security services may also use mechanisms necessary to provide a requested service or prevent abuse. Their duration depends on the service and session; contact us if you need details of a cookie observed on your device.
4. Contact actions are not cookies
Clicking an email or WhatsApp contact link can create a server-side record of the contact channel, linked destination, page, referring site, product context, link label and broad device type. Enquiry submissions are also stored on the server. The contact-action code does not write a tracking cookie, local-storage entry or persistent browser identifier. These processing activities are described in the Privacy Policy.
5. External links
WhatsApp, LinkedIn and YouTube are external destinations, not automatically loaded third-party embeds in the current public pages. If you open an external service, it may set its own cookies and process connection information under its own policy. Grofine does not control cookies set on those external websites.
6. Your cookie choices
Open Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject optional analytics, or withdraw earlier permission. Analytics is off by default; when not configured there is nothing optional to accept. We remember the choice in first-party local storage named gf187-consent-v1 for up to 180 days, solely to apply your preference. A change of analytics ID requires a new choice. If enabled and accepted, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_<stream> cookies for up to 180 days to measure page visits. We omit URL query strings and fragments from our configured page view, and do not deliberately send enquiry content or contact details. Withdrawal disables the tag, removes accessible first-party _ga cookies and reloads the page; it does not erase data already received by Google. Use your browser settings to remove any remaining site storage. Your choice does not affect an enquiry already stored on the server.
7. Changes and questions
This policy will need review when plugins, embedded services, tracking or hosting settings change. For questions about a cookie you observe, email info@grofine.com with its name and the page where it appeared. Do not send its value, login credentials or other secrets.
