Privacy Policy

How Grofine handles information when you browse this website or contact us about commercial growing products.

1. Who we are

This website is operated under the Grofine brand by Shanghai Grofine Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd. Privacy contact: info@grofine.com Business address: Room 707, Building D, E-Town World, No. 1777 Hualong Road, Huaxin Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, China.

2. Information collected through this website

Enquiry forms collect the details you provide, including your name, company, email address, country or region, optional WhatsApp number, product interests, product/model details, quantity where requested and your message. The form can also include its landing page, referring page and campaign parameters. Required fields are identified in the form; without them we may be unable to respond. Please do not send payment-card details or sensitive personal information through an enquiry. When you click an email or WhatsApp contact link, the site records the contact channel, destination, page, referring site, button label, product context and broad device category. This is a first-party contact-action record, not a browser cookie or a persistent visitor profile. Hosting and security systems may also process technical connection information, including IP addresses and request logs.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

We use enquiry information to respond to your request, discuss suitable products, arrange requested samples or quotations and manage related business communications. Contact-action records help us understand which enquiry routes are being used. Technical information supports operation, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Where EU or UK data-protection rules apply, handling a request may be necessary to take steps at your request before a contract; business-to-business communications and site security may rely on legitimate interests in responding to commercial enquiries and running a secure service. Applicable legal obligations can require retention of business records. Separate optional marketing or non-essential tracking would require its own applicable legal basis and, where required, consent. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing list.

4. Recipients and external services

Information is available to staff handling enquiries and to relevant hosting, website-support and email-service providers where needed to provide the service. We may disclose information where required by law. The website does not sell enquiry details. WhatsApp, LinkedIn and YouTube links take you to external services only when you choose to open them. Those services handle information under their own policies. An external link is not the same as an embedded tracker; please review the destination service before sharing information there.

5. International processing

Grofine operates from Shanghai, China. An enquiry from another country may therefore be handled in China, and hosting or email providers may process information in other locations. Applicable cross-border requirements depend on your location and the services involved. Contact info@grofine.com for details of the relevant recipient, processing location and any applicable transfer arrangement or safeguards; this notice does not claim a particular certification or transfer agreement.

6. How retention is determined

Retention depends on the status of the enquiry, the continuing business relationship, the need to follow up a requested quotation or sample, applicable accounting or legal obligations and any dispute or security investigation. Contact-action and technical records are subject to operational and security needs. This website does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule to enquiry or contact-action records. You may ask us for the retention criteria for your record or request deletion, subject to applicable obligations.

7. Security

The public website uses HTTPS and the enquiry-management area is restricted to authorised administrators. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us if you believe information submitted through the site has been exposed or misused.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing. Your right to object: where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your situation; you may also object to direct marketing. To exercise a right, email info@grofine.com with enough information for us to identify the relevant record. We may need proportionate identity checks. You may complain to the competent data-protection authority; UK visitors can contact the Information Commissioner's Office, and EEA visitors can contact their local supervisory authority.

9. Cookies and automated decisions

We use essential storage to remember cookie preferences. Optional Google Analytics 4, when configured, measures page visits only after consent; it can process browser/device information, page paths and connection information under Google’s terms. Advertising features are disabled. Our Cookie Policy explains current controls, storage periods and withdrawal. Data may be processed by Google outside your country; the business must review applicable contractual and transfer safeguards. Contact and enquiry records are separate server-side records. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

10. Changes and contacting us

This notice covers information handled through the website, not a separate signed commercial agreement. It may be updated when site functions or business processes change; the date above identifies this version. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@grofine.com or through the Contact page.
